![]() ![]() ![]() Even though I am new to this forum, I have been developing Mac apps for 30 years and I have been using the Tripp Lite serial adapters (previously branded as Keyspan) for most of that time.ġ) For some reason when Tripp Lite released their driver for Big Sur, their installation instructions had a step to manually copy the installer to the Applications folder. It's a late 2015 iMac and is running Monterrey 12.1 I have no idea what is going on - the machine was fine yesterday. Went to the system preferences and changed the access to allow Webroot to have access to the drive. Rebooted the machine and tried again - same thing. Went to the Webroot console and told it to download the software, saw the file on the iMac, tried to open it and start the install but nothing happened. Rebooted system and tried again - same issue.ĭecided to uninstall Webroot and reinstall it. Webroot wanted my license number (shouldn’t have needed it - it was running fine yesterday.) Input the correct number and attempted to scan the drive - it said it was preparing to run a scan and never actually did. Before I would do that, I attempted to have Webroot run a scan on the hard drive. WOW suggested that the anti virus software be disabled. IMac not allowing 3rd part software to install or update This afternoon my iMac would not allow World of Warcraft to update. My main issue right now is to re-install the LF Connect app so I can access my 5 other pens again. (Hardware>USB then I get an error the error that it is not readable.) I will just return that product for a refund. I got the LeapStart Pen Go which cannot be detected on my laptop and that's a whole new set of problem. Will someone be able to help me please? I've put so many hours trying to work this thing. My once working LF Connect is now no longer working. They have not worked but in fact has gotten me in trouble. These are references LF Connect is referencing me to. " My problem? How do I do that? Their troubleshooting guide isn't helping. I am getting another error when I try to connect another product (Tag Pen Jr) to the LF Connect App: "For Leap Frog Connect to work on this version of OS X, you will need to enable the LeapFrog system extension in the Mac OS security and privacy panel. ![]() The error pop-up says, "The driver for your LeapReader isn't installed." I've restarted several time and re-connected the app, but it is still not working. I am getting an Error 40 error when I run their app trying to connect my LeapReader. My problem: I don't have the "Allow button" option Their troubleshooting guide tells me to go to Security& Privacy>allow apps downloaded from>app Store & identified developers>click "Allow" so I can select LeapFrog. Problem: Can't install drivers/extensions, being blocked by Catalina Now, I can't even using the LeapFrog Conect app anymore and I have 5 other products that I can't update without it. (I purchased a new item, and it wasn't being detected on my mac.) Reinstalling the app was a fail because I am being blocked from installing drivers/extensions. I used to have it working on my laptop but then I followed the troubleshooting guide on their website and uninstalled the existing app manually to reinstall it. I am trying to install a Leap Frog Connect app on my Macbook. Is any of you, expert in Apple stuff, able to help me at least try to launch the Install USA19H Driver.app located in the Applications folder ? Xattr: No such file: /Applications/Install SUDO xattr -rd /Applications/Install USA19H Driver.app I tried the command below and Terminal returned an error that seems to indicate a syntax error: Maybe there is a syntax problem using that command. Tripp Lite suggested to use a special Terminal command (SUDO xattr -rd ) and that does not work either. We tried running under root, disabling SIP, launching without extensions (CMD + R). I called Apple about that and escalated the problem 2 levels above the customer support. Tripp Lite said that it was a known problem and that Apple was responsible for that. Normally, I get a similar message but I can work it out by authorizing it the the system preferences. When trying to launch the installer I get an error message saying that I don't have the permission to do that (see below). It's said to work with Big Sur v11.4 and I am running v11.6. This driver is supposed to enable a serial adapter to work with my iMac. I downloaded a driver installer from the Tripp Lite web site. ![]()
